PEACE

PEACE

As we are nearing to the end of an another year I think it's time to reflect on its happenings. This year bore witness to one of the most tragic terrorist attacks that we have ever witnessed in Europe.  The ISIS attack in Paris was a shocker for people around the world. People are valuing animal life more than that of humans and the brutality is for all to see. Anyway may God change their evil hearts & evil desires. It’s blunt a truth that terrorist attacks becomes a common news in everyday media. Every one around the world lives in a fear of what might happen next. No one can guarantee a safety in this world now.

As someone said, “We know the value of a thing only when we have  lost it”. I think “PEACE” is something like that now. It has  become a dream or something increasingly impossible to achieve.

It is easy to quarrel and turn against each other, but it is not that easy to maintain “PEACE” and  LOVE with everyone. For maintaining “PEACE” we must need ‘PATIENCE’.

Before I talk about the topic I would like you to read the following story…

There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all.

But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest – in perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize?

The king chose the second picture.

Do you know why?

“Because,” explained the king, “peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. PEACE means ,one can be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in one's heart. That is the real meaning of PEACE.”

“PEACE” always begins with God.

It is not something that we can create ourselves.  If you can sleep at night peacefully, you are far more blessed than you think. Many  believe that PEACE can be bought if they gain a huge amount of money. But truth is, the only thing world cannot buy with the power of money is PEACE. So that is why I clearly mentioned above that PEACE begins with God.

Remaining in PEACE doesn’t mean that you are problem free. It means that when things around you doesn’t make sense,  you believe the best is yet to come & everything will work for your good.

According to the Bible, Jesus clearly said about “PEACE” in John 16:33..

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

This is one of the greatest assurances  Christians have  got. This is what makes Christians stronger to face their challenge ahead, no matter what it will be.

So may God help you to find "PEACE" in Him.

REMEMBER THAT :-

“True peace is not the absence of war or trouble; it is the presence of God.”

EXPECTATIONS

EXPECTATIONS

It's a sad truth that when we take a look around, we find everyone busy with their own life. Nobody has time to take a break from their busy schedules & get to know others or what they are going through. Everyone's in a race to conquer more of this world before time runs out and focus only on their life & it's problems.
Before proceeding I would like you to read a beautiful story given below..

Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter asked a timber merchant for a job, and he got it. The pay was really good and so were the work conditions and for that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.
His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was to work and the first day, the woodcutter cut down 18 trees.
'Congratulations,' the boss said. 'Go on that way!'
Motivated by the boss's words, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he could only cut down 15 trees. The third day he tried even harder, but he could only cut down 10 trees. Day after day he was cutting less and less trees.
'I must be losing my strength,' the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologised, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
'When was the last time you sharpened your axe?' the boss asked.
'Sharpen! I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut down trees . . . '

This is what actually happens in a relationship. It takes time to sharpen it. Many people believe that a life with their family is enough and that having a healthy relationship with friends or other relatives would amount to unnecessary complications in their busy life.

Have you ever thought about when a relationship becomes

complicated or struggles??

The answer is.. EXPECTATION.

When our expectation fails we become disappointed & lose ourselves over that particular relationship by not giving it the importance it needs. So when we are in relationships EXPECTATION won't bring any happiness but SPENDING TIME & UNDERSTANDING one another does.

So don't try to rush things that needs TIME to grow & Don't ever expect anything from your loved ones. Coz once if they don't treat you the way you expect them to, you will be hurt and disappointment will take over you.

ATTITUDE

Attitude

It is always easy to give up on life when its struggles weigh down on us. To not give up on life is the real challenge that we face. In order to survive we must have a stubborn mindset of not giving up easily. If anyone told you that there is a life free of problems, it's really a lie.

Before explaining today's topic read the beautiful story given below -

There was a man taking a morning walk at the beach. He saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide was fresh and the starfish were alive. The man took a few steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that repeatedly. Right behind him there was another person who couldn’t understand what this man was doing. He caught up with him and asked, “What are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What difference does it make?”

This man did not reply, took two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the water, and said, “It makes a difference to this one.”Whatever difference are we making? Big or small, it does not matter. If everyone made a small difference, we’d end up with a big difference, wouldn’t we?

In the Bible every character who was chosen & were called out by God had faced many struggles. But all of them remain faithful to God in all walks of their life, that lead them to achieve greater heights. And in all the only surety is that problems, trials, troubles, and the testing of your Faith can either strengthen your resolve or wear you down - it all depends on your attitude.

If you see your problem as stepping - stones to something greater, then you can move ahead with anticipation for what you will become-a person of strong character who can handle any obstacle. God promises that suffering can help you grow if you let him work in you. Struggles and pressures will try to drag you down all through your life. But remember that a life with God will always be a successful one.
Thank You so much for spending your valuable time reading this humble post. Hope it was a blessing.

God Bless You smile emoticon

PARENTS

In this post I would like to share with you a serious social issue that is plaguing our society. It is about the increasing number of OLD AGE HOMES.

Now a days many old age homes are being built in our locality. We all know the reasons behind this. Before I share my opinion on this issue I would like you to read a story which I can't keep from sharing .

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked said.
“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.
Boy: “I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees anymore” the boy replied. “I want toys. I need money to buy them.”
Tree: “Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.
”The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad. One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.“Come and play with me” the tree said.
“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”
“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.
“Come and play with me!” the tree said.
“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.
“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time. Finally, the man returned after many years.“Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you”, the tree said.
“No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the man replied.
Tree : “No more trunk for you to climb on.”
“I am too old for that now” the mansaid.
“I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.
“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.
“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story we all can relate to. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to spend our time with our Mom and Dad. When we grew up, we left them only coming back when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what happened, parents will always be there and give everything they can to make us happy. They always give the best of their life to their children. You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but this is how most of us treat our parents.

We take them for granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

Treat your parents with love and care…. Enjoy each moment with them. For you will know their value, when you see their empty chair.

If you're not paying much attention & sparing time to spend with your parents , your children who look up to you will follow ditto.

We will understand the love our parents had for us only when we become parents.
