The Real Meaning Of Christmas

The Real Meaning Of Christmas

By God's Grace, we are coming to the end of another year. Surely each and every one of us have experienced many new moments of life be it good or bad, this past one year. Regardless, everyone is now looking forward to getting ready for a happy Christmas Season. Every child around the world is waiting for Christmas Day with excitement and expectation. Much of the reason behind this excitement can be attributed to none other than the Christmas present. When they think about Christmas, the first picture that comes to their mind is about the Christmas Present, followed by Santa Clause or family gatherings and awesome food.

Is this all that there is to Christmas?

Is this the real meaning of Christmas?????

No. Never. It is far beyond that. Christmas is all about Jesus Christ who came to this world as a human to show the love of God for this lost world. At the end, He showed the Love of God at the Cross bearing all our sins. When we were lost and rejected, His love came & found us, which is everlasting.
The Bible tells, "For God So Loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."(John 3:16)

When we celebrate Christmas, are we focusing only on our happiness?

Just look around at your surroundings. You can find men, women and children who are starving without the basic human need of a single meal a day or a roof above their heads. They are humans like us whose circumstances forced them to face their predicament. Then why can’t we feed them for a moment? If we fail to do so, it shows our selfishness. Remember Jesus was born not for a particular society or people, but for the whole humanity. So more than self-happiness let’s make this Christmas be special for someone who is expecting a caring hand from each one of us. Let them Praise God through each one of us. Just think about the smile of a child when he gets what he need. This is the real meaning of Christmas. A heart that loves and cares for others.

May this Christmas become a turning point in your life.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Let’s make this Christmas more bright. Thank You for spending your valuable time for reading this..

God Bless You. :)

HELPING MENTALITY

Do you have a helping mentality towards people??
                     OR
Are you a selfish person concentrating only on your achievements??

Before you answer the question kindly read the story given below.. Personally this story touched me. Hope it speaks to you too..

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended.

After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:

'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection.

Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do.

Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.

In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.

Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the

plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.

The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.

As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.

Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!

Run to first!'

Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.

He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'

Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.

B y the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball . the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.

Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.
All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!

Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'

Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the 'natural order of things.'

Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process??

THE CHOICE IS YOURS..

Thanks for spending your.valuable time for reading. Be a blessing to many.

God Bless You :)

PRAYER

Are you get bored of praying??
Or asking yourself - is PRAYER an important thing??

Do you actually know what PRAYER means??

Anyway it's a truth that we all pray at some circumstances of our life.

From my point of view, prayer is keeping a relationship with GOD - your creator.

Having a daily prayer relationship with God is like having a daily  relationship with our parents. If worldly parents cares for us... What about God - our creator??
The style of Prayer differ when situations changes. Mostly we only pray to God in our failures, disappointments & so on. But we failed to pray in our achievements, joyful moments, forgetting to thank God.

PRAYER MUST BE OUR DAILY ROUTINE.
PRAYER REALLY WORKS.

Don't pray only for yourself. But pray for others. When you pray for others God will bless you along with them.

Just watch little kids to see how they pray. If we notice, we can find that how sincerely they're praying to God. Feel Like someone is near to them listening with ears wide open. But when we watch an adult, we can find that he is praying very fast trying to stop the prayer as soon as possible.

PLEASE NEVER DO THAT.

When life gets harder and larger– so must your prayer life!!

Pray to God to give wisdom & strength to face each days struggles & to overcome them. Before you do anything pray to  God in order to know his Will & to get his guidelines.

SEEK GOD FIRST, NOT AT LAST.

When at night you cannot sleep, talk to the Shepherd, God.  And stop counting sheep.

"We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties." ~ Oswald Chambers

REMEMBER THIS - God always answers our prayers, but sometimes the answer is No.God most definitely listens to prayers, answers prayers, and moves in response to prayers.

Thanks for spending your valuable time for reading.

Hope you enjoyed reading.

Share it.

May God help you to lead a victorious PRAYER life

FAITH

FAITH
A Beautiful Message Explaining Life completely True.. Couldn't stop myself from sharing it with all of you...

Arthur Ashe, The Legendary Wimbledon Player was dying of AIDS which he had contracted from Infected Blood which he had received during a Heart Surgery in 1983..!
He received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:
"Why did God have to select you for such a bad disease??"
To this Arthur Ashe replied:
50 Million children started playing Tennis,
5 Million learnt to play Tennis,
5,00,000 learnt Professional Tennis,
50,000 came to Circuit,
5,000 reached Grandslam,
50 reached Wimbledon,
4 to the Semifinals,
2 to the Finals &
When I was Holding the Cup in my Hands, I never asked God "Why Me?" So now in Pain how can I ask God "Why Me?"
Happiness keeps you Sweet!!
Trials keeps you Strong!!
Sorrows keep you Human!!
Failure keeps you Humble!!
Success keeps you Glowing!!
But only,
Faith keeps you Going!!
So have Hope in Heart & Faith in God, & never think "Why Me..?"

Our faith is tested not at the peak of our happy moments but in the valley of our disappointments. Faith in God helps us to see the joyful moments coming ahead even in our deepest sorrows.

Remember - Little trials without God will break you. Big trials with God will make you.

May you always find strength in God's love and faithfulness.

EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Everything Happens for a reason

There are many happenings in one's life that don't make any sense. We may end up asking God why He allows this? Why am I the only one going through this ordeal?
We may get depressed on the  see the peace and happiness that we don't have in people around us. And ask ourselves Why is this happening to me alone??

Read the story given below which is similar to our life..
There was a little boy who lived in a village, his mother used to embroider a great deal. He  would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed  him that she was embroidering. The boy told her that it looked like a mess from where he was. As from the underside, He watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand, He complained to her that it sure looked messy from where he sat.
She would smile at him, look down and gently say, “My son, you go about your playing for a while, and when I am finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side.”
He would wonder why she was using some dark threads along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from his view. A few minutes would pass and then the boy would hear Mother’s voice say, “Son, come and sit on my knee.” This He did, only to be surprised and thrilled to see a beautiful flower or a sunset. He could not believe it because from underneath it looked so messy. Then Mother would say to him, “My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realise that there was a pre-drawn plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing.”

Many times through the years we have looked up to our Heavenly Father and said, “Father, what are You doing?” He has answered, “I am embroidering your life. ” We say, “But it looks like a mess to me. It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can’t they all be bright?”
The Father seems to tell us, “‘My child, you go about your business of doing My business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and you will see the plan from My side."
The truth is that We only always see the other side of our hopeless situation. But God knows the beginning and end. He is just trying to teach us that He is the only person who can be trusted in this world. It is a fact that there is always a situation in our lives where even our close friends may not help us. Even then God works for us.

Always Remember - When everyone rejects us God elects us. In order to show that, You are God's Masterpiece.

So my dear friends, ask God to give strength to face any hopeless situation & wait patiently for God's time. When situations don't make any sense just remember God is up to something to teach you. Everything happens for a reason. You may not understand it now, but God does, and that is all that matters. .

FORGIVENESS

FORGIVENESS

What will you do if a person keeps irritating you even when after you warn him??
                       OR
Will you forgive someone who spreads rumours/gossips  about you??

I know these are very hard situations to withold your anger from them. Before sharing my view Kindly read the following story...

Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?” The other friend replied “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where the winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”

Moral of this story -
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR Sorrows IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BLESSINGNS IN STONE.

Sometimes we forgive people
who don't deserve forgiveness Only because we still want them in our life. This what exactly God did towards us. He is always slow to anger.

My dear friend, we should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry. Forgiveness plays a very important role in family relationships.

The Bible clearly says,
"Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you." - Colossians 3:13.

So let us pray to God to have a forgiving heart. Then only God will showers his blessings upon us.

Thanks for spending your valuable time for reading. Stay Blessed. Keep sharing.

God Bless You :)

FRIENDSHIP

WHO IS A FRIEND?

Who is a friend? We all have acquaintances, faces we recognize ; people we greet by name. Casual friendships happen through continued contact. And close friendships are developed through sharing of interests and spending time together in mutually inclusive activities.

But Intimate friendships are what everyone desires & needs. These are friends that stay with us no matter what. They listen to us & are genuinely interested in what is best for us. A truly good friend will openly correct you. But that's okay because they are interested in our well-being.

Everyone wants the kind of friend that will be there for them no matter what. Who are your friends? Are they just acquaintances, or are they intimate friends?

Sometimes even our friends may let us down, but there is one that is surely gonna be there for us no matter what - God wants to be your friend. When you accept His Friendship you will never be disappointed. God wants us to have good friends, and to be good friends to others. The relationship with God is the best relationship you can ever have. Our friendships should be based on genuine love, care & concern for the other person. A friend is not someone who is with you because of your popularity or wealth. True friends will love you in spite of who you are. This is the kind of friend all of us should have who will both laugh & cry with you, and be there for you in all situations.

A true friend sees the first tear, catches the second, and stops the third. Choose your friends wisely and prayerfully, because a true friend is a friend for life!

Try to fix the broken friendships. Even if you have let someone down, It's not too late to make amends. Ask God to help you have the courage to apologize & try to fix things. He is the best friend you could have, and he can teach you how to be a good friend too!

Remember - If we hold a grudge against someone, the door to God will be closed. It will be absolutely closed, with no way to him. Only if we forgive others will we be forgiven.

Thanks for spending your valuable time for reading. Keep Sharing this.
God Bless You :)

SUCCESS OF FAMILY RELATIONSHIP

The family is the most important social structure of any society. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect family. There are, however, principles that, if followed, Will help each family to be all that God intended it to be.

1. LOVE -
If we truly love our family, we would be willing to lay down our lives so that they might live. The true test, however, is if we lay down our rights and demands on others in everyday situations of life. Love is proven not just by words we say, but also by our actions.

2. RESPECT -
Family members must show respect for each other, even when there is disagreement on a particular matter. This is where healthy communication plays an important role.

3. COMMITMENT
No matter what happens, commitment is necessary for a family to survive. Many voices in contemporary society that tell us if a marriage is not working, just get out. But this is not the solution. Help can be found through prayer, studying God's Word, and the wise counsel of those who love God.

4. FORGIVENESS -
Unresolved conflicts Will often be reflected later in the relationship you have with your family. Ask forgiveness of those you have offended, and forgive those who have offended you, no matter how deeply you have been hurt. Freedom comes when we learn to forgive others in the same way that God has forgiven us.

Remember - A Family who prays together stays together forever.

Thanks for spending your valuable time for reading. Share this & be a blessing to others.

God Bless You. :)

TOP 10 THINGS THAT BRING SUCCESS

Steps to become a successful person in life

Jesus promised, "Put God first and do what he wants. Then everything else will be yours"

God is all for success once you give him the chance to help you succeed.

Too often the standards for success are measured by the level of education we have attained, the amount of money we have in the bank, the size of our house, or by the material possessions we possess. And in order to be successful, some are willing to do whatever it takes, even if it means bending the rules.

Education is important & a must have; there's nothing wrong with a good job and wealth if they are used well. But how we treat others and what we do with our education and money is  what people will remember about us long after we are gone.

True success can only be measured at the end of our lives by how we used what we had to serve our society & honour God. This is the only kind of success that can never be taken away from you.

Following are the simple steps to become a successful person in the life -

1. Discovering God's purpose for your life. (He has the best plan.)

2. Talking to God in prayer. (Get real with him. He knows what's in your heart anyways.)

3. Believing that God loves you unconditionally.

4. Living peacefully with others. (Conflicts rob you of energy and motivation.)

5. Loving others in spite of their faults. (Maybe they will overlook yours.)

6. Choosing Good Friends (A mark of true success.)

7. Starting over after making mistakes. (We must make each day as new and fresh experience.)

8. Working hard at something you like or something that is required of you. (You'll feel good about your accomplishment.)

9. Being generous! (Give the gift of time and your abilities to others.)

10. Being honest no matter how difficult. (It builds self-respect and wins the trust and respect of others.)

Thanks for spending your valuable time for reading. Be a blessing to others and Don't forget to share this.

God Bless You :)

LOVE

WHAT IS LOVE?

Is that just an emotion which can be found between two couples??
                      OR
Is that just an emotion which can be found between parents and their children.

WHAT IS LOVE?

The difference between "LIKE" "lOVE" and "in love" is the same as the difference between "FOR NOW" "FOR A WHILE" and "FOREVER"!

Remember this -   LOVE Doesn't Lie as People Do
LOVE Doesn't Leave as People Do
LOVE Won't Hurt You as People will

Then where can we find a true love and a true lover?

Before explaining that Read the beautiful story given below -

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart, and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art." The young man held out his package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home, he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?" There was silence. Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one." But the auctioneer persisted. "Will someone bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?" Another voice shouted angrily, "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!" But still the auctioneer continued, "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. "We have $10, who will bid $20?" "Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters." "$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?" The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted a more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD FOR $10!"
A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now, let's get on with the collection!" The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over." "What about the paintings?" "I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!"

God gave his Son 2000 years ago to die on a cruel cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is, "The Son, the Son, who'll take the Son?" Because you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

The Bible Says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Remember this - You are loved unconditionally by a greater love than you can ever imagine! God loves you, now and forever!

His Love Never Fails. <3

Thanks for spending your valuable time on reading this humble post & Don't ignore to share this true love.

God Bless You :)

Feeling Alone??

Have you ever felt a certain level loneliness in
your life where you end up asking, 'Where is  God?' and wondering"why is it all happening solely to you ??
If you've ever felt so, check out this story...
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the   foot prints in the sand. He noticed that at many instances in his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened during the lowest and most sorrowful times in his life.
This really bothered him & he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me."
The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, the reason why u saw only one set of footprints was because i was carrying you."
My dear brother and sister in Christ, God allows problems in your life not to destroy or abandon you. He is just teaching you that you can't live without him for a moment. You may feel you are falling but He will carry you at your lowest moment place you in His arms. He form our rock of steadfast hope.
The Bible says, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he Will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall."
Psalms 55:22
So put your trust in Him. Remember -  Even if the whole world rejects you, He will never leave you. Sometimes you may feel God is hard on you & doesn't love you... Truth is He Loves you too much to leave you the way you are.
So today let us get closer one more step to God, because that is what He is expecting from us. That is why He allows problems in our life.
Thank You for reading. Share it with your friends.

"WORDS"

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths. But only what is helpful for Building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
EPH. 4:29

Don't let your words or actions leave wounds to that soul in need. Remember, a person is more than what you see. We don't know what they've been through.

So let our words be True, Light  and Help others to construct but not not to destruct. And always think TWICE before you speak. Before you say something controversial, think how you'd feel if someone said it to you.
So Take care of your THOUGHTS when you are alone, and Take care of your WORDS when you are with people. Your WORDS  have great power so use them to support and inspire others.

God Bless You :)

NEVER GET WORRIED

"Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope."

So it is very important for a person to have a relationship with God in order to find God's purpose about him. Every people who live in this world have to face problems in their life. No man can lead a constant happy life. In a way or another people have to face some unexpected and hopeless situations. You may feel you are facing an impossible situation, but God says, "I know what I am planning for you. . . . 'I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I Will give you hope and a good future.' "

You may feel you are facing an impossible situation, but the Bible says, "God . . . . is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of - infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes."

So no matter what happens. God can turn your worse situations to joyful moments. Just put your trust in Him. He is always Faithful. No matter how things look, know that God is still in control. Stay in peace, knowing that He will always be with you.

God's plans for your life are far beyond the circumstances of your day. If you're having a bad day today, there's hope tomorrow.

Life isn't about finding yourself, but finding Gods purpose for your life and living it to the full.

God Bless You

The Parable of 3 Trees

The Parable of Three Tree
Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said,  "Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."  Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."  Finally the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me."  After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter" and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.  At the second tree a woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.  When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true.  One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree so I'll take this one", and he cut it down."  When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.  The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.  Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree.  The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.  Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.  Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it.  When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill.  When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.
The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined.  We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.
