The Real Meaning Of Christmas
By God's Grace, we are coming to the end of another year. Surely each and every one of us have experienced many new moments of life be it good or bad, this past one year. Regardless, everyone is now looking forward to getting ready for a happy Christmas Season. Every child around the world is waiting for Christmas Day with excitement and expectation. Much of the reason behind this excitement can be attributed to none other than the Christmas present. When they think about Christmas, the first picture that comes to their mind is about the Christmas Present, followed by Santa Clause or family gatherings and awesome food.
Is this all that there is to Christmas?
Is this the real meaning of Christmas?????
No. Never. It is far beyond that. Christmas is all about Jesus Christ who came to this world as a human to show the love of God for this lost world. At the end, He showed the Love of God at the Cross bearing all our sins. When we were lost and rejected, His love came & found us, which is everlasting.
The Bible tells, "For God So Loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."(John 3:16)
When we celebrate Christmas, are we focusing only on our happiness?
Just look around at your surroundings. You can find men, women and children who are starving without the basic human need of a single meal a day or a roof above their heads. They are humans like us whose circumstances forced them to face their predicament. Then why can’t we feed them for a moment? If we fail to do so, it shows our selfishness. Remember Jesus was born not for a particular society or people, but for the whole humanity. So more than self-happiness let’s make this Christmas be special for someone who is expecting a caring hand from each one of us. Let them Praise God through each one of us. Just think about the smile of a child when he gets what he need. This is the real meaning of Christmas. A heart that loves and cares for others.
May this Christmas become a turning point in your life.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Let’s make this Christmas more bright. Thank You for spending your valuable time for reading this..
